GROUP VISITS

The new Hancock Observatory welcomes groups of 20 or more. With our Magnificent Mile location amidst the exhilarating array of shopping and entertainment venues, a visit to the new Hancock Observatory is convenient for a one-stop, all day Michigan Avenue excursion. Your group will appreciate having the best of Chicago literally at their feet.

A self-guided tour on the 94th floor of world-renowned John Hancock Center includes, along with stunning lake and city views of up to 4 states and 80 miles, Skywalk-the city’s highest open-air viewing deck, walking audio tours, virtual tours on Windows on Chicago, photo- and fact-filled History Walls, Soundscope talking telescopes, and daring photo ops.

How to Make a Group Reservation

Reservations are recommended for groups of 20 or more. You may reserve your visit time up to one year in advance. To make a reservation you may fill out the appropriate Reservation Form (listed below) to submit electronically or call 312-751-9722 or fax 312-654-5086.

If you are a qualified professional tour operator, please call 312-751-3680 or email us.

You will receive a confirmation of your reservation by fax. All changes to your reservation are appreciated by calling 312-751-9722. Date and time changes should be made as soon as possible but can be made within 24 hours of your visit.

2008 Group Rates

$5.50 children and elementary/junior high ages 5-12
$7.50 senior citizens 62+
$8.50 adults and high school students ages 13-61

Complimentary Policy
1 per 20 guests

The free admissions are based upon the total number of people visiting (including teachers, parents and other chaperones).

Payment
All payments (VISA, MC, Discover, AMEX and school checks) are due UPON ARRIVAL ONLY.
No prepayments are accepted.

A visit to the new Hancock Observatory not only offers your students the best views and overall perspective of Chicago, but can also contribute to a valuable learning experience. The Observatory offers educational tools that will assist you in relating your field trip to the state of Illinois’s educational standards.

The Hancock Observatory and Chicago Trolley Tour
Imagine getting a fully-narrated tour of Chicago while riding on an authentic Trolley and then exploring Chicago from above it 1,000 feet high at the new Hancock Observatory. Your group will see, hear, and feel Chicago like never before!

Price: $18 per person
Minimum: 25
