DANIEL THOMAS
General Manager
As General Manager of the John Hancock Observatory, Daniel directs our strategy and operations.
Daniel was previously the Manager of SkyTower in Auckland, New Zealand. His work earned SkyTower — the highest tower in the Southern Hemisphere — international acclaim in the tourism and service industries. Prior to joining SkyTower, he worked in aviation for Air New Zealand.
Today, Daniel sits on the steering committee of the World Federation of Great Towers, an international organization of tower attractions.
CAREY RANDALL
Director of Sales & Marketing
Carey Randall is a sales and marketing professional with over 20 years' experience in retail, marketing, and public relations. She is an active member of several professional organizations including ABA, SYTA, and NTA.
Before joining John Hancock Observatory, Carey was the Director of Sales & Marketing for Skydeck at Sears Tower. She has also worked as a manager for The Body Shop, a skin and body care retailer that operates worldwide.
MICHAEL FRANK
Director of Operations
Michael Frank brings a strong background in customer relations to John Hancock Observatory. In his new roll as director of operations, he will continue his personal strive towards operational excellence.
Prior to joining the team, Frank worked extensively with Marriott International and in 2008 helped open the new Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Stout with a BA in hotel, restaurant and tourism management. Frank is also a graduate of Marriott’s Management Development Program.
NICOLE ROBERTO
Sales & Events Coordinator
A superstar of creative event planning, Nicole has created a name for John Hancock Observatory as more than a tourist destination. She is currently finishing a degree in Advertising & Public Relations at Loyola University-Chicago.
ANDREW APA
Sales & Events Coordinator
Andrew has an intensive background in the restaurant and hospitality industry. He's currently finishing a degree in Communication with a minor in Public Relations from DePaul University in Chicago.
