You might think the logistics of organizing an event 1,000ft high would be a drama but it's all very easy. Rest assured, we've thought of everything from the large capacity freight elevator at the bottom to the staff waiting to help you set up at the top.
Event spaces
01 / Partial event rental
- Full access to the north end of the observatory deck, with spectacular views of Lakeshore Drive, Lincoln Park Zoo and Wrigley Field.
- Maximum capacity: cocktail reception (120 people); seated dinner (80 people).
- Rate: $2,500 for the first 2 hours; each additional hour $1,000 (includes space only).
*This option does allow for other tourists to be present in the observatory space while the event is going on.
02 / Full rental
- Complete use of the observatory and open-air Skywalk (facility closed to the public).
- Observatory staff assistance to set-up.
- Maximum capacity: cocktail reception (600 people); seated dinner (200 people).
- Rate: call for quotation (includes space rental only).
*Blackout dates apply. Full shutdowns are limited throughout the year.

Unfortunately you can't bring your own chefs but don't worry – we've got Jewell Events & Catering on the job! These sample menus will give you a good idea of the cuisine on offer. Obviously, each menu option can be customized to best reflect your event.
Audio/visual equipment

Vendor insurance requirements
Our vendor insurance requirements are such that we really do need Certificates of Insurance from all renters/suppliers before any contracts can be approved.
